Idiographic explanation: fully explained the causes in this particular instance. (limited to present case) Nomothetic explanation: explains class or group of events/situations. Partial explanation is accepted. (ex: usually, on the whole etc. ) Inductive reasoning from the particular to the general from specifics to find a pattern that explains some sort of order among the events. Deductive reasoning from general to the particular. ** each of us possess free choice/agency to an extent however we allow ourselves to be influenced by other forces/factors. We can, but we often surrender our choice, putting the responsibility on other things that are more readily understandable. Tolerance for ambiguity: ability to hold conflicting ideas w/o denying/dismissing them.
