Understand how memory works: space practicing (works better) versus mass practicing. Long term retention of material is facilitated by long term practice over a long period of time. Different types of metacognitive judgments: retrospective confidence judgments (rcjs)-- past. Rcjs are better at predicting memory performance than jols. Predicting future retrievability: ongoing monitoring delay recall test.
