If these break down the denial, then it would help the situation because the addicted family member would realize that there is a problem that needs to be fixed and that they need help to do that. They may also for the first time be interested in getting help. However, if it does not break the addicted pe(cid:396)so(cid:374)"s denial, it could hurt the situation by making them extremely emotional and making them use more substances and potentially harming themselves.
