Compulsions: urges to perform repetitive, ritualistic behaviors to prevent or produce a situation (counting, checking, cleaning) Symptoms develop as a result of exposure to a traumatic event, oppressive situation, natural or unnatural disaster (abuse, war, rape, assault, etc)
