Radiating- starts at origin but extends to other locations. Referred- distant/ far from causal site; similar to radiating. Phantom- perceived from area that was amputated. Thinks limb is still there and experience burning, itching, and deep pain in the area. Psychogenic pain- pain believed to arise from mind. No physical cause but may be as severe as physical cause. Differs in way they affect the pt and how they are treated.
