The duration of pregnancy is called its term or 3 month intervals called trimesters. Conceptus- all products of conception the embryo, fetus, placenta, and other membranes associated with it. The developing individual is a hollow ball called a blastocyst for much of the first 2 weeks. An embryo from day 1 to week 8. The fetus is attached to the placenta on the uterine wall via an umbilical cord.
