Document Summary

Observational learning: apart from organizational and associational learning, people learn by watching others " behavior. He made a film of a young woman beating a bobo doll an inflatable balloon with a bottom weight that makes it bob up when you knock it down. The woman hit the doll aggressively and screamed "sockeroo! "she kicked it too, jumped on it and pounded it with a hammer. Bandura showed his film to nursery school kids groups and then let them play in a room where some very funny toys were present. To create a bit of anger in the kids, bandura let the kids play with the fun toys just a few minutes before taking them away. Bandura then gave the kids an opportunity to play with the bobo doll. You would certainly not be surprised to hear that the young woman in the film was imitated by many of the children.
