Catastrophe is an example of a stressor. Social readjustment rating scale- a scale that measures the amount of stress. Hassles- daily annoyances can also be a stressor. Pressure- urgent demands or expectations for a person"s behavior coming from an outside source. Time pressure is most common type of pressure. Uncontrollability can cause stress; lack of control. Frustration- occurs when people are blocked or prevented from achieving a desired goal or fulfilling a perceived need. Aggression- actions meant to harm or destroy. Displaced aggression- take out aggression on less threatening targets.
