The study of fundamental problems and issues concerning: the nature of reality, morality, knowledge, language, mood, science, society, and religion. When examining theories, you should evaluate competing views. Philosophy involves analyzing an issue from different perspectives and choosing the best one. In the allegory, plato explores whether we truly know reality and what our knowledge of the world is like. Imagine a cave, in which there are three prisoners. The prisoners are tied to some rocks so they cannot look at anything but the stonewall in front of them. People outside the cave walk along this walkway carrying things on their head including; animals, plants, wood and stone. You cannot look at anything behind or to the side of you you must look at the wall in front of you.
