Sociobiology is the systematic study of social behavior from a biological perspective. According to freud, human development occurs in three stages that reflect different levels of the personality: Piaget believed that each stage of development (from birth to adolescence), children"s activities is governed by their perception of the world around them. His four stages are organized around specific tasks: sensorimotor stage (birth to age two) children understand world only through sensory contact and immediate action because they can"t engage in symbolic though or use language.
