Process of enhancing the understanding of your audience in relation to some important term, object, event, process, and so forth. I(cid:374)(cid:272)ludes spee(cid:272)hes a(cid:271)out : objects, events, persons, how to. Instructional presentations: concepts, complex processes, academic lectures, business reports, analyses of events. Informatory speaking- seeks to create awareness on the part of an audience regarding a specific issue. Need for new information on a topic for specific audience. Assumes the audience has some knowledge of the topic but they lack sufficient unders tanding of the process. Explain how something works or a process. Goes beyond presenting new information and actually deepen the understanding of the topic. News: audience interested in the newest information. Instructional: necessary steps needed to complete tasks. Too little and the audience will still leave a gap in their knowledge but makes their curiosity vanish. Present information to audience on topic that they are familiar with or provide useful information to the audience.
