IST 432 Chapter 8: Lesson 8 Response Essays_Contracts
Document Summary
Under the using our services paragraph, i was shocked to hear about a couple things. First, the fact that we need permission from google to use their services or access content using their services, is confusing. In a way it"s easy to understand the fact that they are protecting themselves from a legal stand point, but their service is a public domain. This makes it ironic that a user would need permission to search content on, for example, www. google. com, when it can be argued as public domain unless clearly stated as a product under intellectual property protection. Additionally, the fact that they say, we may review content to determine whether it is illegal or violates our policies, and we may remove or refuse to display content that we reasonably believe violates our policies or the law. But that does not necessarily mean that we review content, so please don"t assume that we do is absolutely strange.
