Orpheus used his lyre and song to convince the underworld to let him bring her back to life. Was not allowed to look back at her until they got home, but he forgot didn"t know if she was still there and looked back - losing her to the underworld a second time. Abstained from love of women and sought young boys. Women were upset over his rejection of them. Performed a deed full of courage inspired by love. Orpheus a coward - unwilling to die but let his wife die twice while returning from the underworld alive himself.
