Ir a + infinitive: to talk about the near future. Ir + a + infinitive = to be going to do something: pensar + infinitive = to plan or to intend to do something. Only use subject pronouns (yo, t , l, ella, usted, nosotros, vosotros, ellos, ellas, ustedes) when introducing new subjects, contrasting subjects, or when the subject is not obvious either from the verb ending or the discourse. Indefinite articles: un, una, unos, unas: communicates that a noun is not known to the listener/reader. Once introduced, definite article is used: not used as frequently in spanish as in english, less specific than algunos(as). When the idea of some is emphasized, use algunos(as) Ser: profession or occupation, origin, what something is made of, possession, nationality, religion, or political affiliation. Intrinsic qualities: time, dates, and seasons, where an event is to take place, certain impersonal expressions.
