Images of ancient trees, evening dew, starry pole, dewy grass. They have voices like the wind, and harmonious thunder . The children are innocent and fresh, they are closer to nature than the old men. The tiger is bright, powerful and perfect ( symmetrical ) Basically, harlots are the worst part of the london streets. Worm and flies, insects involved in decay. All of these poems play with the idea of light and dark. In everyone there is mention of one of these two elements in some form or another. There is an element of nature in every one of his poems, though some are more positive than others. He mentions color a lot in his poems as well. Some form of red is mentioned in four out of the five poems, although each has a different connotation. I think this image of the tiger is most fitting because it appears to be illuminating the darkness.
