Doesnt want people in cuba that aren"t proud of their cuban/indigenous/african roots (embrace cuban identity) Spanish used race as a divider we must overcome this divider to overcome the spanish. Anti-utilitarianism: pro church, pro spain, pro hierarchy, pushes la to return to its iberian legacy and embrace it"s spanish culture, believed everyone in la shared a common spanish culture.
