Document Summary

In some ways the globalization did not better the world. Developing nations incurred great amounts of debt opening up their economies. Multinational corporation exploited countries for resources they were entirely dependent upon. The development of radar was critical to the allied victory of wwii. It allowed them to have advanced warning of german air raids. Development of radar profoundly impacted the creation of the computer because it led to the creation of transistors. The appliances of science in world war ii helped turn the war and shape the peace. In 1945 people believe the atomic bomb ended the war, not the radio/radar. People were not horrified because images of the victims were not censored and radiation affects were not well understood. Berlin was the european hiroshima after world war ii. Nearly sixty percent of the city"s housing was destroyed. The greatest novelty of wwii was its sheer scale of destruction.
