THTR 1025 Chapter : Fifth Of July
Document Summary
Fifth of july was one of those plays that teaches its audience a life lesson; that we may never hold ourselves back because we fear the future. I just wish they could have made their point sooner rather than later. I understand that the characters have to establish themselves, but act 1 could have had some kind of scene change or something other than the characters jabbering the whole time. The beginning may have caught my attention, but watching uneventful incessant chatter doesn"t hold my attention for one and a half hours. The second act was my favorite because it was shorter for starters, and because that was where all the chaos took place, with a lot of loud, tense arguments and rough physical movements.
