Nora thinks she can spend more money because of his new position. However, helmer doesn"t start his job until after new years. His new job will bring in more money because he is being promoted as the vice president of a bank. They can finally not have to worry about spending a lot of money. Their maid comes and tells them that dr. rank is here to see them. Kristine linde, nora"s old school friend, arrives after. Dr. rank and begins to chat with nora. Nora remembers finding out that kristine"s husband died a couple of years ago.
