Changes in technology effected machines and the production of goods, science and medicine and basically our understanding of our world around us. Political and economical developments, some related to the industrial revolution also caused many changes in societies. American revolution put forth a blueprint for colonies falling away from their mother countries by using ideas of democracy, freedom and inequality. The french revolution began with the workingmen revolts in paris regarding working conditions and strikes due to a build up of a lot of pent up anger against inequality in french society, which turned violent. Certainly futalism was quite entrenched there colonial powers were. France, during the 1700"s was the cultural and intellectual because of the power of the nobles.
