Part 1: think about the multiple uses of the concept of culture. Keep a journal for three days and document the ways in which the concept of culture comes up in your day-to-day life. (try to think of 3-4 examples per day). If by day three you"re short on examples, ask five people what they think when they hear the word culture . I saw a lot of different concepts of culture. On day one of keeping my journal i had work, so i saw the work out culture take place. Every one in nike shorts and cut off t-shirts, grunting as they lift their weights. I also had class, where i saw the college campus attire. There were plenty of people in nike shorts and oversized t-shirts on campus. Day two was pretty similar, so i asked my roommate what she thinks when she hears the word culture .
