Black kid played for the team from the bronx. People questioned how hold he was- when team made the semi-finals the news broke out he was too old (had to be 12 was 14) team was disqualified. He never went to school, all he did was play baseball because he wanted his son to play major league baseball and make money. Parents sent detective to find birth certificate. Sociological perspective- the way to recognize patterns in social events and view personal experience in the light of these patterns. White officer shot a black boy witnesses were saying he was attacking the officer/ getting out of police car. Sociological imagination- something you see and being able to apply information learned. Racial makeup of event- city made up of 70% black. Only 3 out of the 53 officers were black.
