Five skandhas: threads that when put together defines a person, people are made up of these five things, tied to belief of no god, no ultimate independent existence, form, feelings, perceptions, volitions, consciousness. Emptiness: no soul, sunyata, sanskrit for emptiness and zero, anatta = no soul, no permanent self to anything, things are interconnected. Impermanence: because there is no permanent being inside of us, we are able to live and change, growing up, reinventing yourself, new identity. Dependent origination: nothing is independent, everything rely on other things, paper trees, logger, sun. Awakening: awake to what reality is, using the eight fold path to become more and more awake, exercises, seeing things and moments as equally precious and new, fully experience life. Mindfulness: seeing things and knowing that there is more than what you see.
