Moderate handicap: develop communication skills in earlier childhood, can take care of themselves but may need support, can benefit from social or occupational skill work, supervised community living. Severely handicap: may learn to communicate but not in complete sentences, need for help at school, limited ability for profit from school, receives federal assistance, can preform simple task, live with family or group home. Profoundly handicap: genetic or neurological disorder, difficulty retaining information, need structure and supervision. * often die from choking and eating too fast. Risk factors: parent age, low birth weight, assisted conception. Personals with id have slower developments, the more serve the id the slower the development. Sequence of development follows the same of those who are normal just takes longer.
