Benefits from minor illnesses is that it allows child to build up immunity. Association with high levels of physical activity, curiosity & Rate of growth slower in preschool years than infancy so preschoolers need less food to maintain growth. Freaks parents out because they worry that the child is not eating enough. Before age 10, children are 2x more likely to die from injury.
