We construct our own reality (our reality is the skin & within: social influence- culture plays a key factor, social relations- prejudice. Prejudice can be good or bad- the word just connects negatively. Helping: how aggressive we act in social relations. Evaluating evidence, biases, and alternative explanations before accepting conclusions: what matters in critical thinking is what you think of the topic, not what you are told, more likely to be involved in things if you think critically. Always go with the simpler of the two multiple explanations (only have to explain a limited amount of possibilities) Integrated set of principles that explains and predicts behavior: have to be able to test them, ex. Standard set of questions asked of a large number of participants. Strengths: large amounts of data quickly and inexpensively.
