Document Summary

Memory- the persistence of learning over time though storage and retrieval of information. Everything you are as an individual is based off of your experiences and your memory of them. So that you can give correct answers. Any failure to remember something gives you a flawed memory. Working memory- info that is in short term memory and is actively used, it will become long term memory. You can do it automatically through automatic processing- this allows you to demonstrate parallel processing. this means you are not consciously aware of yourself taking in info, but you do it. (unconscious processes). Space (ex: visualizing notebook to recall info) (special reasoning) Time (ex: losing things and retracing steps). Frequency (ex: you unconsciously keep track of how many times you hear things, see things, etc). Well learned information- (ex: multiplication table) known very well. Effort full processing- conscious and active attention to information (have to rehearse the information to take it in)
