During this lab, a stool or chair was needed in order to be at the correct height to read the manometer taps correctly. This was not a safe method for reading the gages. If a ladder was used, this would be a safer method of obtaining the correct height needed. A different solution would be to lower the back wall of tubes connected to the manometer to a height where an average size person could read the oil height in the tubes effectively. Since the latter involves much more work and change to the actual structure of the manometer, the addition of a ladder would be the better choice.
