Now that the mechanical design process has been well established and studied, it"s time to analyze a few key items that are often found near the end of a product"s design. Quality is simply making sure the product is made and maintained well for safety and efficiency, this is usually measured with quality assurance and quality control. The next topics are manufacturing instructions, assembly, installation, operating, and maintenance instructions. These topic are fairly simple and self-explanatory; in order to make a product you have to know how to put it together, fix it, and operate it. Another important topic that is closely related to this portion of the design process is support. In order to have a good customer relationship, you must have a well- established support team to help with any problems they are faced with. Having a good relationship with any vendors selling your product is also present in this stage.
