Document Summary

Martin luther king"s delivered the most iconic speech in history during his march on. He inspired a nation and lifted up the black community as a whole, while expressing his disapproval for those who constantly put african americans under oppression. His speech and the actions of the civil rights movement were all an attempt to gain their god given rights, and that the future of our community will have more opportunity advancements. Unlike the teachings of those of the likes of marcus garvey, dubois, and malcolm x, king believed that we should have the right to be integrated in with white society without the fear of being harmed. King"s method of obtaining equality was also the most effective because he chose to take the peaceful route, which is the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.
