Document Summary

Synthesize polymer from raw materials by addition or condensation polymerization. Formation of tiny balls of fiber on fabric surface. To develop strength, pliability, toughness and elasticity properties. Reduce flex life by reducing molecular weight slightly. A manufactured fiber in which the fiber-forming substance is a long-chain synthetic polyamide in which less than 85% amide linkages are attached directly to 2 aromatic rings. Polyamide in which 85% or more amide linkages. Each polymer contains the same elements by weight. 6 carbon atoms in each molecule (reactive molecule) Nylon is used in a wide range of products. A manufactured fiber in which the fiber-forming substance is any long-chain synthetic polymer composed of at least 85% of an ester of an aromatic carboxylic acid. Has excellent stability if it has been heat set. Note: there may be parts missing to this chapter, so it would be safe to study another note source besides this one.
