June 28, 1950- seoul falls to nk forces: dmz- now south of kaesong, back then- north of kaesong- very close. Task force charlie arrives july fifth, 1950- not effective. Early sept 1950- pusan perimeter- the last of south korea left. Sept 15 1950- inchon landing by macarthur. July 27, 1953- armistice signed: 1949- chinese civil war- many north koreans had fought, prc shows its gratitude to north korean- help them in civil war, role of soviet union- military supplies to north korea- logistics support.
