Quarter of the slaves are indian: 1732: georgia, king george gives a land grant to oglethorpe because he needs a border to spanish florida. Took on a lot of the same slave patterns that you see in south carolina, initially this was a refuge for white european workers, put a ban in 1732 because it was never supposed to be a slave state.
