The scientific method: method of development of new knowledge. Goal of scientific method is to create new knowledge: recognize you have a problem, hypothesis: possible explanation of something that requires verification. In other words, a guess: verify: trying to show that hypothesis is incorrect, accept or reject, open-matter and energy are free to enter and leave. Ex: earth: closed- a system in which energy or matter never leaves. Systems theory: complies too many concepts of nature, very abstract. Helps us figure out what we need to look for to understand the natural environment around us.
