The article, ergonomics hitches a ride , covers a very important topic in industrial. Engineering which is ergonomics while focusing on sustainability. In the article, there are examples in which fortune 500 companies have now shifted their focus on these two topics. The main reason these companies are now heavily focusing on these topics is because of employee well-being as well as the financial state of the company. Over trillion have been invested in companies worldwide who have demonstrated strong sustainability practices. Companies who have been focusing on sustainability have noticed that if they make small changes to their operations they can save millions of dollars annually. This all relates to industrial engineering because these practices can benefit a company"s efficiency and production. While reading the article i had a couple of questions come to mind. I began to wonder how one pursues a career in ergonomics.
