Document Summary
All of the films we will be considering in class this semester are available for rental. In sixteen years of teaching this course, i have never found a screening time that suited even a significant minority of the class, much less everyone. Consequently, students will be responsible for renting and viewing these films on their own. Students will be responsible for having viewed the film by the first day of discussion of that film, as indicated on the course calendar. For each film (and the novel) there will be a set of basic questions. Each student is to write a 1-2 page single-spaced word-processed response to these questions. This screening report is to be turned in by email on the first day of dicussion of a particular film. These dates are indicated in the course calendar with an asterisk (*). These screening reports are not critical or research papers.
