Document Summary

When i was first introduced to the idea of feminism, i automatically pictured the character of donna from that 70"s show ; crowds of women protesting city halls with signs and chants, begging for the equality for women. I had no idea that this was a way of thinking or even a way of life. Since exploring the ideas and true meanings of this phenomenon, i realize i am living in a world where feminism is growing each day. Just opening my mind to its teachings, feminism has taught me to be proud of my sexuality and embrace others, for though we all may not sit in the same binary, we are all only human. Growing up in the south, there are many social standards young girls and boys are unknowingly taught in order to be accepted into their specific gender roles.
