EE 2231 Chapter : Lab Report 6
Document Summary
Objective: to apply the ideas developed in experiment 5 to the construction of practical unregulated power supplies. 10. 12 dc, 0. 13 ripple for section 1; -10. 12 dc, -0. 13 ripple for section 2. What are the dc voltages and ripples of the two sections? (for figure 2) What is the dc voltage and ripple of this power supply? (for figure 3) By taking the ouput below the 1k resistor one would expect to observe a negative doubled voltage as is similar to that of figure 2. What does the output look like with the 100 f capacitor removed? (for figure 4) The resistance in the filter inductor in figure 1 was very low and thus did not lower the dc voltage noticeably. In figure 4 however, assuming the filter would be placed below the two diodes, one could assume that there would be more resistance due to the 2nd diode being in place and thus lowering the output voltage more noticeably.
