Uranus hated his children and thought they were ugly, so as each one was born he stuffed them back up inside of the earth. Cronus agreed to help his mother bc he wasn"t scared like the other children, so she also found some iron and created a sickle. Cronus hid and waited for his father to come in to sleep with ge, when he came in, Cronus jumped out and cut off his father"s genitals with the sickle. He threw the genitals into the sea where they floated and created a foam. Cronus became chief god; then he let his siblings come out of their mother. When zeus grew up, he tricked his father into throwing up the other children there was a war b/w the generations (cronus and siblings vs. zeus and siblings) titans vs. olympus. Zeus and them won and became the head gods and lived on mount olympus; became known as the olympians.
