Three types of primates: monkeys, apes, prosimians. They either demonize them or make them cute. We want to know why they so are similar to us, we can look at their bone structure and how they move to get a better understand how we move and our bone structure. Old world is where civilization started and new world is the americas. Primates from old world and new world look different from each other. Descriptive: go out to the fields and describe many things. Observation: they went out was looking for one primate in particular. Theoretical: 1992, they began to put primates and labs and test their reactions to certain things. Dian fossey: second pick, study grollizas, sent her to rwanda, she was murdered. Birtute galdikas: was interested in orangutangs, she studied in bronieo. Jane goodall: first pick secretary, her work centered in tanzia. Limbs: prehensile hand and feet (we can grab things with them, flexible limb structure.
