Two principle differences in use of taxonomy btw linnaeus (creationist) and modern biologists: Linnaeus used binominal nomenclature to reference a species genus species. Linnaeus considered each group of organisms to have an essence an: concept of species inviolable suite of traits that uniquely distinguishes one group from all other groups. Organisms in the same species share a unique suite of traits. If two or more species have partial overlap of their traits, those species may be classified in the same genus. Correspondingly, each genus has a unique suite of traits. If two or more genera have partial overlap of traits, then they may be classified in the same family. Linnaeus, there is no fundamental difference among the taxonomic categories. Modern biologists consider the category species to be different from the higher categories. The species category represents real groups of organisms.
