Document Summary

Stallions are seasonal aas well, but they do not go completely inactive. They have highest sperm production in summer and reduced sperm production in winter. It is about 100 in summer and 50 in winter. Libido depends on the stallion some are slower to respond in winter time. Need to put more time and effort for these horses. Testosterone is less which is responsible for the sex drive they can have bad habits of biting. You don"t want them doing this because they will associate it as harmful. Probably due to fact that since testosterone is lower then the sense is not the same as usual. Undergo puberty between 12 and 18 months of age; gradual process testes grow dramatically once spermatogenesis begins. Scrotal circumference good indicator of testicular size (weight) increases until 5 years old. Spermatogenesis takes about 50 days another 6-7 for epididymal(where maturation takes place) transport. What you collect was made about 60 days ago.
