City selection: identify three cities in the united states. Make sure all other layers have been turned off. and check on the usa major cities: using the usa major cities layer locate each city. Left mouse click on the city to open the information window. Record the city name and state and the 2007 population for each city below. You will examine six themes relating to cities and urbanization in the united states: population and form, demographics, urban connectivity and isolation, transportation, economics, and poverty and crime. Your group will produce a series of slides with summary notes for each theme. You may use any combination of datasets to explore the issues. You may also choose to use one or all of your cities to present the topic. Consider discussing common characteristics or differences you see between and among the cities you have selected.
