Ethical communication is when we apply our ethics to message that we hear, or messages that we say. For ethical communication, we need our ethical standards. 3. 1 application-think of an example of something that may be legal, but not ethical. Something that is legal but is unethical is cheating on a significant other. There are no laws that say someone cannot cheat. Cheating causes emotional harm to people and should be illegal. People still cheat even though they know it will hurt someone. 3. 2 knowledge - list and explain the four standards that can be used to make ethical communication decisions. Political perspective- political systems have many values to them, that affect our ethical standards.
