The vulva is made up of the mons veneris, the labia majora, labia minora, the vestibule, the perineum and the clitoris. Mons veneris/mons pubis: the fatty cushion resting over the front surface of the pubic bone. Labia majora: two longitudinal folds of fatty tissue that extend from the mons and meet at the perineum. Labia minora: two smaller pink skin folds situated inside the labia majora. Clitoris: richly supplied wit blood vessels and is a particularly sensitive receptor and transmitter of sexual stimuli. Vestibule: entire region between the labia and minora. Urethra: brings urine from the bladder to be excreted. Introitus: entrance, usually covered at birth by a fold of tissue known as the hymen. Bartholin"s glands: bean shaped glands with ducts that empty into the vestibule in the middle of the labia minora.
