Document Summary

Patterns of migration are expanding around the world. Saudi arabia"s low-skill labor work force is mainly made up of foreigners. Humans first migrated from africa into the neighboring continents. They have always moved for better living conditions or to escape violence, predators, etc. These past thirty years have seen the highest rates of international and internal migration: globalization has caused migration from rural to urban areas. It has been stimulated by rapid transportation and better o communication technology. Pushes and pulls: pushes and pulls: the forces that spur migration from the country of origin and draw immigrants to a particular new destination country. People can be pushed by famine, war, disease, etc. People can be pulled by job opportunities, higher wages, etc: people can be forcefully pushed by government when land is wanted for other use. Those who are forced to migrate are called refugees.
