A. Astigmatism: vision problem caused by the fact that light rays
entering the eye aren’t focused on a single point in the back of
the eye
B. Corneal xerosis: dryness of the cornea
C. Keratalgia: pain in the cornea
D. Cycloplegia: paralysis of the ciliary body
E. Iridalgia: pain in the iris
F. Miosis: abnormal contraction of the pupil
G. Mydriasis: abnormal dilation of the pupil
H. Scotoma: dark spot in the visual field

A. A common patient complaint for ear problems deals with a
change in hearing.
B. Hyperacusis: excessively sensitive hearing
C. Hypoacusis: excessive;y insensitive hearing
D. Osteo Acusis: hearing through bone
E. Presbycusis: loss of hearing in old age
F. Mastoidalgia: pain in the mastoid
G. Otalgia: ear pain
H. Otodynia: ear pain
I. Otorrhea: discharge from the ear
J. Tinnitus: ringing in the ears
K. Vertigo: sensation of moving through space while stationary
