A. Optic: pertaining to the eye
B. Optokinetic: pertaining to eye movement
C. Optometrist: specialist in measuring the eye
D. Retinal: pertaining to the retina
E. Blepharedema: eyelid swelling
F. Blepharoptosis: drooping eyelid
G. Blepharopyorrhea: discharge of pus from the eyelid
H. Dacryolith: hard formation in the tear system
I. Dacryo Pyorrhea: discharge of pus in tears
J. Ectropion: outward turning of the eyelid, away from the eye
K. Entropion: inward turning of the eyelid, toward the eye
L. Exophthalmos: protrusion of the eyes out of the eye socket
M. Nystagmus: involuntary back and forth movement of the eyes
N. Strabismus: condition where the eyes deviate when looking at
the same object
O. Esotropia: inward turning of the eye, toward the nose
P. Exotropia: outward turning of the eye, away from the nose
Q. Keratomalacia: abnormal softening of the cornea
R. Pterygium: winglike growth of conjunctival tissue extending to
the cornea
S. Scleromalacia: abnormal softening of the sclera
T. Papilledema: swelling of the optic nerve where it enters the
retina
U. Phacomalacia: abnormal softening of the lens
V. Phacosclerosis: abnormal hardening of the lens

B. Audiometer: instrument for measuring hearing
C. Audiometry: procedure for measuring hearing
D. Otoscope: instrument for looking in the ear
E. Otoscopy: procedure for examining the ear

H. Tympanometry: procedure for measuring the eardrum

J. Aural: pertaining to the ear

L. Otoneurologist: specialist in the nerve connections between
the ear and brain
