When constantine legalized christianity only 5% of subjects were christian. Never strayed far from galilee and nothing is known of him until age 30 when he began itinerant ministry of preaching and healing. Oldest writings are of paul that forms part of new testament. Was a jew from asia minor who arrived after crucifixion, never met.
