Facilities that use incineration to create steam or fuel electricity. Produced by anaerobic bacteria within a closed landfill; mostly methane & can be used to generate energy. Where workers & machines sort through items, clean materials, shred papers and prepare for reprocessing. To redesign industrial systems to reduce resource inputs & minimize physical inefficiency while maximizing economic efficiency. Examining the life cycle of a give product from raw material to finished product; looks for ways to make the process more efficient.
